apteryx has been providing research and development services for 20 years.

DeCaMino is actually version 2 of a former product called the DICOM Image I/O plugin, distributed by apteryx since 2003. This first plugin had undergone many evolutions but was dependent on JAI Image I/O tools, a Sun library that has been abandoned by Oracle and never ported to 64-bits Windows or MacOS. With a partnership with WebInterstate, a company creating web based health information systems located in the United States, the plugin had been overhauled, JAI Image I/O tools functionalities have been redeveloped from scratch, and DeCaMino was born.
